A quiet hornpipe

Cosmo, the fiddler, is a familiar street musician in Port Townsend who makes the daily rounds downtown. He's a friendly soul who says he most enjoys playing classical and Appalachian mountain tunes. On this encounter, he did a quiet hornpipe piece.

There should be a no more grateful person in the world than a successful musician.

Well a hornpipe seems appropriate for such a salty looking character. This photo has inspired me to go out some time soon and photograph some of Victoria's street musicians, and to suggest in the CDPB forum that street musicians would make a good subject for theme day since they are probably found in most cities.
Best wishes.

Street musicians are some of my favorite people. These folk make our travels a bit more fun, don't you think?

I just discovered your blog. Although I'm currently in Italy, I miss Port Townsend dearly. Keep up the good work! I'm adding you to my blogroll. :)

Nice to have street musicians who play because they love it and not those who play for donations to buy spirits or drugs.

Imagine this:
Take a picture of your car with you seated in it, going down the super highway at 65 mph. I just put this on my Brookville blog this morning.
