Shipshape

Always enjoy seeing the older, traditional style of rigging usage on todays sailboats. While not as strong or as efficient as modern steel turnbuckles for providing tension on the shrouds (lines from the mast(s) to the sides of the boat), the deadeyes (the round three-holed wooden pieces) and the lanyards (the lines threaded through the pairs of deadeyes) are plenty strong enough and, I think, look especially great on a wooden schooner like this one in Boat Haven Marina. I like this shot because it shows the boat has been left shipshape and ready to boogie.

Raf, nice detail shot of a wonderful looking schooner. Do you work in the marine industry? Snow over there?

No snow yet, Chuck, that I've seen anyway, just rainy and cold. Was in the commercial fishing industry. Thanks for the comment. All the best.
