...might this be?
I think many people would quickly recognize this colorful style of artwork as a piece of Dale Chihuly's blown glass and it is, indeed! Shown here is a small cropped shot from this massive piece of art which is a joy to behold.
It's Odd Shots Monday and Katney's Kaboodle is the place to go!
An addendum to this post: This piece of Dale Chihuly's artwork was purchased by and installed in the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha, Nebraska. Named Inside & Out, it was created in 2000. To learn more and to see this thirty foot high piece of glass art in the museum, click here and enter chihuly in the search box.

This is beautiful! Clever shot.
"Louis" is clueless about where this is. But then, "Louis" is clueless about a lot of things....
Thanks for the visits and comments!
It's so beautiful and I am such a fan of this blown glass!
Chihuly is unique in his vision. I don't know where it is--and I couldn't imagine that this is all part of one piece.
He has works all over the world and in Seattle and Tacoma he has many showings. I live right down the road from the Pilchuck Glass School that he is famous for. The colors are great. Not too long ago there was a piece about him on NPR-TV and it was a reunion of the Glass School people. MB
I've no idea where this could be, but the colours and the shapes are incredible. I first heard of his work through blogging, but I've never actually seen any. It must be quite an experience.
It reminds me of these chandeliers made in Venezia...
Thank you for visiting Arradon DP, Raf, you're always welcome.
Since you're forcing me to guess, I'll pick the Tacoma Glass Museum. However, I'm fully prepared for the consequences of going out on a limb and being wrong:) Nice image!
Chuck, you are always firstest with the mostest and usuaally spot on when it comes to everyone's post quizzes, but this is a hard one, I think.
It is purchased by and installed in the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha. It is a huge work of art placed in the atrium and makes the most of natural and artificial lighting. If I can find a good photo of it in my files, I'll make an addendum to the post as well as a link to the museum. Your comment is much appreciated. Thank you!
Thanks to everyone for your visit and comments.
Well, Raf, I was quite prepared to be wrong ... though Omaha was quite a distance from the mark. "looking through a glass darkly ..." :)
Well, this is interesting!
I just was looking at two huge Chihuly pieces (like trees) at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco a few days ago. I think it was the same set of pieces -- "Inside and Out"... They are specactular. I've been meaning to post a few shots on my regular blog, but if you're interested I have two Chihuly shots from a few days ago on my Daily Duo at:
