Port Townsend Skate Park is always a poplular gathering spot for the younger set. Even though the skate boarding craze has been a part of our culture for decades now, it still strikes me as odd when watching these youngsters perform acrobatic feats high in the air - without a net or water or snow, etc. to soften their fall when they lose it. Just hard, unforgiving concrete.

A great action shot. I’ve been meaning to get some shots at our local skateboard park, so now you have inspired me.
I love catching anything in midair like that. I like shooting the long jump when the school has a track meet.
Catching some air! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I have had a crazy weekend. I really apreciate you support and readership of my place.
Might call it odd behaviour, mightn't you. Stunning - if you pardon the pun.
Wow, that's a fantastic action shot. It's still a big sport here, with each passing generation, thinking they invented it. I agree with marcel you've spurred me to try and snap the local kids, so thanks for that.
Echoing the others. Great action shot ~ eXpertly captured.
I see a big OUCH in his future! Great action shot, Raf. Did you get the hard landing?

Jim, no he didn't lose it...landed squarely on his feet and repeated the same feat over and over.
Lake Lady, as I told Jim, he made it look easy, but others I saw....OUCH is right!

Terrific action shot! Come and see mine. I am late in visiting people because of my allergies but I have almost gotten to all the odd shots, all the bridges between and a good number of ABC Wednesdays!!!!!
