Sky Watch

Underway and with her colors proudly streaming, this beautiful schooner makes her way across Port Townsend Bay.
Happy Independence Day, America!

See the host of Sky Watch Friday at Wiggers World for many more sky watcher's photos.

It is well known that we Portuguese once sailed the seven seas searching for new lands, wealth and adventures.
We were brave in those days and gave the world new worlds!

Luckily I don’t have to sail the big oceans on a small ship to sea the wonders of our world …
No Sir, I just need to check with Mr. Tom, the finest host there is, for a trip around the world with SKY WATCH TOURS and with a click here, a click there I am quickly in the USA, England, Brazil, Italy, China, Australia, Finland … well, everywhere.

And on each stop I come to see a little marvel of our world under a great sky!

It's a great photo and I suppose in Australia?? In a fortnight I'll be in Cooktown Qld, where my daughter lives. It's a tradition that I go every year and stay 6 weeks.

Great catch for SWF! God and Nature first made us what we are, and then out of our own created genius we make ourselves what we want to be. Follow always that great law. Let the sky and God be our limit and Eternity our measurement.... Happy weekend! Mine's up too hope you can drop by..

Magnificent looking schooner but not in Australia. My guess is Canada somewheres. The sails are so white and the hull is gleaming. My guess is that it could be wooden ...

What a great shot and thank you for letting us enlarge it. Some are just so much better when enlarged...some I just want to see better because they are already so nice.

I think the most beautiful man made thing in the world is a schooner under sail. Nice shot. And a wood boat too, with all her sail up including the fisherman! Yippy!!

I hope you had a godo 4th!
