Travels and the 101st post

As we were leaving the Puget Sound behind us and crossing the Cascade Mountains on our journey east, I asked Nancy if she had heard of the little town of Roslyn where the TV show Northern Exposure was filmed. Thinking it might be a good spot for lunch, I suggested we eat at Roslyn's Cafe where the bear mural was painted on the building used in the TV show. She agreed, but corrected me that it was a moose, not a bear, in the mural. So here is the mural. Ah yes....the golden years!
As it turned out, we were too early for business in Roslyn and the oasis was closed to camels, bears, meese and peoples - so we kept on truckin'.

Just noticed today that yesterday was my one hundreth post as a CDP blogger. It has been great fun being a part of this community and quite the learning experience. For example, I just learned yesterday from Babooshka's one hundreth post that I probably qualify as a xenodochial sort which matches up well with our international band of photo bloggers.

Hmmm. We'll have to dig up some old photos from the show! I would have said 'moose' too but then there was a live moose walking the streets....

Congrats on your 101st! Great post.
I'll hit 100 on Sunday. How time flies when you're having fun!

A xeno-whatever sounds like a terradactal--ouch!
I think the Roslyn Cafe has a new painting not the one on the show. Maybe! I could be wrong. We will wait and see what lake lady has to show. MB
BTW: congrats on the 100th

Funny that you both look to be wrong. You have only done 100? Then you have done 100 awesome photos.

I've been to Roslyn. I could easily retire in that little town. Great pic. It brought back many memories from my living in Washington days.

Congratulations on your 100th too. We used to get Northern Exposure here, so this was a real blast to see. if was a bit off the wall and was on late at night here and had a cult following.

I agree you are very Xenodochial indeed.
