We were without Internet for more than a day so here's my late edition of Sky Watch Friday. This was taken a few weeks ago on our family visits in Texas. Having just enjoyed dinner in a downtown restaurant in Gladewater, we stepped outside to be greeted by this fireball in a rosy red sky and a flying Amtrak passenger train roaring by at the same time - a rush of sight and sound! Couldn't get the camera going fast enough to catch the speeding train, but did catch the sunset.

Beautiful rosy glow. I did hear the train and felt the whoosh as it sped by. It is nice with the internet but then again don'r we feel lost. MB
This was well worth our wait!
I think thats a great shot. Love the RR crossing.
I too can see/hear the train...nice job of getting us there by photo AND by words! I suspect I know exactly where you had dinner ... and now you've made me hungry, too! ;-)
Forget the train! The sunset is enough! Gorgeous.
Interesting blend of the extraordinary and the mundane, Raf. Seems to make the fireball beauty of the sun even more impressive.
Ahhhh, humidity! Nice framing.
Beautiful. Great coloring!
Nothing is worse then no internet but your photo sure is beautiful.
I am so disappointed for you that the internet was not behaving. You know this should be seen by so many more people than will get a round to it.
It's an outstanding rosy blush.
Train or not, good catch!
Fantastic sky!
That is absolutely gorgeous.
Man - I tried to get a shot like this, and it just didn't work. Great work.
Lovely color & the RR sign adds interest.
I'm just getting around to seeing "abc wed" posts. Yours it the best!
What a beautiful picture! Such a beautiful sky and love the railroad crossing! Great job!
Sorry, I’m a little late because I was sailing this weekend.
So I stop by and say thank you for a nice SWF.
I enjoyed seeing your rosey red fireball glow! I think you did a good job of catching it from the trains speeding by! Great job!
