ABC Wednesday - Galatea

If Port Townsend had an official town center or square or piazza it might be the little city park on Taylor and Washington Street that is the location of Haller Fountain which has also been known for over a hundred years as Galatea. She is shown here as seen today with a fountain full of soap suds. Perhaps it's wash day or local kids having a little fun. Always interesting over the years to find her in various states of dress or undress. She has appeared on this blog several times and those posts can be seen here.

ABC Wednesday is hosted by Mrs. Nesbitt and can be found here.

Those clever kids!
Beautiful sculpture--reminded me of listening to 'The Beautiful Galatea' by Suppe when I was young because my dad was a trumpet player and loved this overture.
Hope your summer has been good on the coast!
