ABC Wednesday - Landing in Seattle

After a trip down south, we returned yesterday to the Puget Sound by air. In this first shot we were banking over Seattle to turn into our final approach for landing at Sea-Tac Airport to the south of the city.
This was looking eastward over Elliott Bay, downtown Seattle, the Port of Seattle and the southern end of Lake Washington. The Cascade Mountains to the east, covered by the clouds.

After our turn to the south, this was looking north and west across downtown, the Magnolia peninsula neighborhood and the sound beyond.

With the late afternoon sun to our west, we were just seconds from touchdown at Sea-Tac, but Port Townsend was still a two hour journey away by car. No matter. We had just spent a wonderful week on the Texas Gulf Coast with old friends and family and were happy to be home again.

Wonderful photos.
Usually my window is so dirty that the photos look awful.

I'm sure this looks familiar to fellow ABC'er Ellen B!

Great shots!
