This morning the skies cleared and afforded this early morning shot across Port Townsend Bay toward the Olympic Mountains. The cormorants in the foreground appear to be sky watching while soaking up some early morning sun. Our beautiful fall day has been a welcome relief from days of stormy weather.

That is a very cool picture specially with the cormorants looking on. MB
They do look like they are watching that beautiful sky :)
Yip, even the cormorants are astounded by the beauty in front of them!
What a wonderful atmosphere in this shot! Love the sky as obviously do the cormorants!
Not the prettiest birds in the world (who am I to talk?!), but they are amazing to watch diving deep into the water. I wish I could visit the coast more. It's nearly an hour away from Willits.
I love your photo it is amazing.
Happy SWF!
What a beautiful place... I've been around the Olympic Peninsula a couple of times -- no place better...
Beautiful scene, and I love those cormorants.
Neat SWF. Are those clouds or fog in the mountains? We dont have the mountains so I am pretty dumb.
Nice view! Happy SWF!
Great shot, love the birds and low flying clouds.
RAF: What a neat capture of the Cormorants in the sky.
That is one for me - birds sea and mountains!
Great shot and nice composition, Raf.
Have a nice weekend.
The cormorants are very beautiful. Great shot!
How beautiful this sky is with the misty mountains. The coromants know what they are doing!
superbe contrasme entre le ciel (le brouillard des montagnes) et les ombres des oiseaux.
superb contrasme between heaven (the mountain fog) and the shadows of birds.
A very nice photo!!
That's quite a crowd of cormorants!

I do like a cormorant, but so many. This is my favourite shore bird of the island. This is a serene skywatch.
What an amazingly beautiful view!
