Friends, beaches and spring weather

The first weekend of spring brought typical Pacific Northwest weather to the Olympic Peninsula coast. Saturday was mostly sunny and mild, but that gradually shifted overnight to rains and gusty winds as a front moved through. We met with longtime book club friends near Copalis Beach, Washington and enjoyed watching the changes in weather from our beach cabins. Was a great weekend discussing books and life in general while cooking, feasting and listening to good tunes. In this photo, two of our group walk by the Copalis Rocks on Sunday morning before we all headed home.
The Olympic Peninsula offers so much to be thankful for with its wealth of natural beauty in one small area where mountains and evergreen forests spill into the Pacific Ocean, Strait of Juan de Fuca, and Puget Sound.

We're still getting acquainted with the Olympic Peninsula and haven't (yet) visited Copalis beach. I must put this at the top of my "check it out" list ~ thanX!

Such a beautiful and perfect image! I wish I were strolling the beach with them. You captured the serene and special feel of the wet sand and two figures. I like it a lot!

I am so anxious to walk on Washington's beaches, no matter what the weather.

Is Copalis in Port Townsend? Don't recall the name.
