J is for jukebox jiving

Port Townsend is lucky to have a soda shoppe with a vintage jukebox and an old drugstore style fountain. The Nifty Fiftys at 817 Water Street fills the bill for "oldies but goodies" tunes and great shakes, floats, burgers and sandwiches. Our young granddaughters love to lead us there for lunch, treats and a chance to plug the jukebox. Let's see, besides pushing F5 for Yakkety Yak, there's See You Later Alligator and just a few more. Good times are had by all!

See all the blogs today participating in Mrs Nesbitt's ABC Wednesday.

Just goes to show you that good stuff never dies. I used to LOVE to put nickels in the table-top juke boxes in diners. I must visit this cafe; don't know it.

Oh, how lovely! It's a while since I fed a jukebox! Nice to know they still exist, and that's a sweet photo, too!

Great J. I haven't seen a good jukebox in a long time - sure does bring back a memory or two...

We never had soda fountains in the UK, but we did do jukeboxes. If I win the lottery I'D have one at home. This just the cutest image and the soundtrack will do just fine.

Yes my last visit to Port Townsend last summer I stumpled on to this treasure. While my wife and her sister were shopping I enjoyed my burger and fries and tunes. Yes i did plug in a few coins too.
