Ship's shadows

The schooner Adventuress is now at the dock in Port Townsend, making final preps for another sailing season. Here, she casts her rigging shadows across the hull of her dinghy, A-ya-she.

A gallery of shadows awaits your disovery at Harriet's Shadow Shot Sunday.

Oh, what great shots! I have a thing about ships and boats anyway, these are just terrific! Thanks!

Shadows with the warmth of polished wood! Beautiful.

Beautiful wood-tones on this little vessel...makes me want to climb aboard and set sail for the sunset...a call to the sea for an adventure and the winds in my hair.

I adore that second shot! Magical! That dinghy would have to be one of the sweetest I've ever seen. Most I see around here are those ones called 'tinnies' (I think that's what they're called) and are kind of boring. Lovely shadows cast on the hull of the dinghy!

Very nice images of a very beautiful boat. Thanks for the tip on Shadow Sunday over at GDP yesterday. I didn't know about it. I'll have to find an image that combines shadows and a sign. Cheers!

There is that something special about wood. You have shown the life in the wood very well, especially in the first one.
