Point Wilson Lighthouse

It was cold and mostly cloudy with biting winds here in PT today as a weather front moved through. Some glimpses of the sun were nice, but short-lived. Good day for a drive out to the Point Wilson Lighthouse. It sits on a point where the waters of Admiralty Inlet merge with the Strait of Juan de Fuca and is where the original lighthouse was first pressed into service in 1879. It's located in Fort Worden State Park (where the movie, An Officer and A Gentleman was filmed). The park is a popular retreat, conference and education center year-round.

That's a nice vantage point from which to show the light house. I do hope the authentic Spring comes soon and replaces the winter-like imposter -:)
