The Adventuress
It's Sky Watch Friday and for sure, mariners are big on sky watching, both before and during a trip to sea. This shot is looking skyward through the rigging of the tall ship Adventuress, a 133 foot wooden schooner that homeports in Port Townsend and is managed by Sound Experience for educational purposes.

Looks almost romantic to me ! very pretty !
Since I'm from a country that once was known for his sailors, I can just admire such a photo.
It's amazing.
This harkens back to the olden days. And I like to see things like this. Nice work.

As an island dweller,I agree that we watch the sky, sea etc in aslightly different way, especially those at sea. Fabulous angle, ominous sky, gorgeous photo.
Amazing! What those seaman had to deal with. This is a great, dramatic photo.
Great perspective and a very well done shot!
What a great shot thru the ropes of the boat, a window to the sky

Nice Sky Watch.
Makes me wish I were there!
Didn't realize the Adventuress was moored in PT ... love seeing that boat on the water and it's wonderful to go aboard. Ah, the wood -:) Great skywatch photo!

Marvellous idea and intelligent photograph!
Great shot!
This is a spectacular and fantastic shot! I LOVE the composition! Great eye here. This is one of my favorites this week!
What a ship! Wish I could jump over your way and crew on her.
OK, this is my favorite (oh I know, no favorites allowed!), but it brings back so many memories of my life in southern New England with the old ports and the tall ships. I love your perspective, I love the brooding cloud.
