The Rose

One of the many pleasures of living in this fine little town is having an exceptional movie theatre to attend. The Rose, shown in this picture taken last summer, is located downtown on Taylor Street. It offers a good cross section of movies for all ages, but with a definite lean toward art house, international and indie films. Owner, Rocky Friedman has found good support from this community by providing quality entertainment. Other special events and programs are offered there as well. If you have a few minutes to spare, check The Rose Theatre website to see why it's considered one of best small town theatres in the country and is such a treasure to Port Townsend.

This photo makes things look fresh out of a catalog page. Nice photo.

Your photography is nice as it always is. I will comment more at another time as I just returned from hospital and am not back to normal.

I love Port Townsend! I lived on Whidbey Island for 10 years and it was always a treat to visit Port Townsend.

Raf, we lost our Magnolia community movie theater close to 30 years ago. Frankly I think it would be a nice addition, but know it's just not financially feasible.

I visited their website hoping to see some interior photos, couldn't find any. It does look like a beautifully kept lovely theater.
