Three Tenors from Omaha

This shot was taken several springs ago in the eaves of our front porch in Omaha, Nebraska, where a pair of robins decided to make themselves a home. When I would scramble up the posts and raise the camera above my head and shoot into the nest, the little chicks would think that lunch had arrived and pop to attention, mouths at the ready. It was fun following the whole sequence, from little turquoise-colored eggs through watching the last musketeer flutter away under watchful parents eyes. I hope this shot meets the criteria for Odd Shots Monday. Seems odd enough to have an Omaha photo in a Port Townsend photo blog, but also the baby robins are surely an odd looking bunch, especially since we don't normally have the chance to see them at that stage of life.
