Sky Watch - Aboard the Merrie Ellen

Sky watching for sure.

A shot from the bowsprit.

Captain John Holbert at the helm.

During the boat festival last weekend we had the pleasure of sailing aboard the schooner Merrie Ellen. I plan to make a post about her here in Port Townsend during extensive repairs this year. For her history and information regarding charters and passage please check the website, Schooner Merrie Ellen.

I see so many pretty boats on your blog. They really look exciting to me. Though the first time I went out on the Pacific Ocean I got seasick for three days, I still like the sea and I don't get seasick anymore.

My blog post for Sky Watch is on my Canon Pixels and if you have any spare time I would appreciate it if you could take a look at the sun peeking through the oak tree leaves.

Thanks.

Thank you for your visit and your kind comments today! Sorry to have been so missing in action lately!

The first of these photos made me gasp, and I was waiting to hear the "SNAP" of what I first thought might be a a spinnaker. What a beautiful boat/ship/craft. I love the angles you chose!
