Odd Shots - It's a little gnome fact...

...that gnomes are most restless in the fall. I snapped this pic the other day of our little traveling companion Henri enjoying the autumn color piling up in the yard. He had been missing for many weeks. I thought maybe, Aengus, the family dog had carried him off to unknown horizons, but here he was again ready for pictures as always. (Henri made his first appearance in an earlier Odd Shots post last summer). He must have sensed that I was about to change the avatar in my profile and wanted to reclaim his original spot on the blog.

He's certainly the right size for a "little gnome" fact :)

Like Olivier, this little one reminds me of Amélie!

Ah! The return of the gnome! My daughter dressed as the Travelocity gnome for Halloween! She looked a little bit more like Moses in a trench coat, but that is a story for another day...

Glad Henri is returned! Do you have a little gnome sized rake? A little yardwork may help quiet his restlessness.

Maybe he thinks it is time to go travelling again. Great shot and color. MB

Welcome back, Henri!
I love the fall colors. Most have disappeared around Juneau(AK). Winter is here. This morning it was a balmy 28.

A three month vacation? Maybe a cruise? Perhaps a safari? An adventure trek? An excursion by train?

Too bad he didn't take you along on this one.

Gnomes are popular garden ornaments in the UK, usually fishing over ponds. Sometimes tehy get kidnapped and yes like Amelie send postcards form their travels. Nicely taken overview.
