The ageless beauty of wood comes in many shapes, forms and functions in the boating community and nowhere is that more evident than a visit to Port Townsend's annual Wooden Boat Festival every September.

That is more than just beautiful. Sometimes the beauty of wood is not appreciated but that leaves me speechless. MB
Gorgeous photo of stupendous workmanship in beautiful wood. Thanks!
I'm completely torn about the idea of putting that boat in the water. It's sublime.
Yes, indeed, there are few things a beautiful as well crafted and finished woodworking. I love the texture. And to think this was once a living thing and lives on for many more years as both functional and in many cases an "object d'art".
The color of this wood is gorgeous!
Wood is beautiful whether in a tree, in a sawn log, in a building or in a work of art. Wood is the medium ...
Neat capture, Raf.
It's so real & beautiful I feel like I could touch it. Excellent photo of a gorgeous boat.
I think I already said I like your atavar... One of my closest friends loves Snoopy (too?) so I posted a card for her on http://mostlylacounty.blogspot.com
Stunning shot.
I love wood...in all of it's forms. This is a lovely picture.
