The sunbreaks we had yesterday were a good chance to catch better lighting for four prominent structures overlooking the bay. The lighthouse in the foreground is actually a private residence. The grey Victorian on the left was built in 1891 and is a private home. The grey roofed turret to the right of the lighthouse is part of the Hastings House (mostly hidden) built in 1889 and is now a Bed and Breakfast also known as the Old Consulate Inn. The red tower on the right is the beautifully restored clock tower on the Jefferson County Courthouse (1892).Wednesday, March 12, 2008

High concentration of unique and historical building there. Very interesting place. Is light house function as light house even it's private home? - or it's just a private observation tower?

Just a private residence. Not a navigational aid at all. Thanks too for the welcome. Happy to be part of this community.
