One of the great little shops in downtown Port Townsend is The Green Eyeshade at 720 Water Street. If you enjoy cooking, they probably have something for you, but they also carry an eclectic line of fine merchandise and giftware from near and far.
Wikipedia offers an interesting article on the history of green eyeshades here.
When I took this photo a few days ago, I had in mind a meme about light/shadows I had just learned about, so this will be my first week in joining Harriet's, Shadow Shot Sunday.

What a terrific shadow shot! I live in Seattle and I'm overjoyed to see even pictures of sun/shadows these days. Thanks for sharing!
What an interesting shadow :D
belle gestion des ombres. Elles pourraient sortir d'un conte d'horreur ;o))
Management beautiful shadows. They could get out of a horror tale ;o))
Oh what brilliant shadows. They just add to the charm of that cool sounding store. A store I'd love to visit...but a little too far away from me :(
Thanks heaps for joining in Shadow Shot Sunday! Have a wonderful week ahead :)
Interesting shot and information. I would never have guessed what a shop named like that would sell!

Beautiful green and shadows...I have not as many nice English words as you to tell you what I could say in French about your photos, Raf, but the yesterday's one is just...wow! ;-)
Shade Shot Sunday sounds like a tongue twister. Love the name of this place has a real leisurely feel.
Perfect post for shadow shot. What a great name for a shop.
