There are probably very few more photographed landmarks in Port Townsend than this private residence built only eighteen years ago. Built as a vacation getaway, the Dimick lighthouse cottage is modeled after the nearby Mukilteo lighthouse built in 1906 with some changes to suit the owners. It is not for or intended to be for navigational use, but certainly gets its share of attention from passersby. A great spot for viewing Port Townsend Bay and the Olympic Mountains or, for that matter, skywatching.

18 years ago. Someone planned it well. It will never be dated.
Crisp and clear.
It's beautiful! and so are the mountains and the sky! We do live in a awesome part of the world, don't we? Even if I do complain about the rain/gray/cold, let's face it, I'm a wuss! Thanks for reminding me of the beauty!
Pretty neat for a private house.
Beautiful vacation house and site. Looks like a very relaxing location.
More beautiful than words can say.
Wow, yeah, I don't know how anybody could not stop by and and take a photo.
How neat. It does look like Mukilteo. Thanks for sharing. MB
ce petit phare est magnifique, j'adore cette architecture. Ta photo lui rend bien hommage
This small lighthouse is beautiful, I love this architecture. Your photo captures him tribute
What a magnificent place and view... Love the Jukebox pic :)
Have a great weekend!
Oh, it's a dream home!
Cute little place. I'd like to live there, or else just go visit, if I knew the people.
I love your lightouses, even if they are fake!
Beautiful! I agree with Louise, it will remain timeless!
It looks older and it is refreshing to see a buikding so young so well designed. I'd love that vantage point as it proves perfect for photography.
Wonderful view! These mountains in the background are beautiful! Great composition!
That's such a pretty home!
A beautiful picture with beautiful clear light and that sweet picket fence and snow capped mountains.
Great place to live!
